@politicsbot @samtoland I was baffled when Karen Bradley was named NI Secretary. She's the MP for an area where I used to work and I interviewed her a few times - not a pleasant person and I am not sure she had ever been to NI when she was named.

In fairness I think the idea is that the person is supposed to be impartial - and they attempt to achieve this by choosing someone completely uninterested in the North of Ireland :P
